Gallipoli documentary
This is a brilliant documentary. The words of Turks, British, Australians, and to every soldier the greatest thing was home, family, and the terrible cost of war. Don't miss this one. I've chosen it for Photo Friday: Vanity because some of war is about vanity - the vanity of those in power who do not always use it wisely - while in other ways the unsung bravery and selflessness of the ordinary soldier is the utter antithesis of vanity. How, on one appalling day among many, did the second and third waves of Anzacs obey the order to go over the top, when they knew the first and second waves had met with annihilation?

Gardenias
Picked these from the garden - just had the three, so I enjoyed the perfume and their varying stages from fresh-white to creamy-fading.
The aqua blue vase is a favourite junk-shop find.
Some order amid the rest, some of which is chaos-in-progress to order.

Blue plumbago
I've always preferred blue plumbago. Think I need to work on focus a bit...
Been doing some sorting out at home, so the garden is being my photo source/inspiration.
