All year they grow with no help, a welcome of purple, faces to the light, edging the verandah. A really really garden-tidy person might weedicide them away, but I like them there. In fairly adverse conditions (there's not a lot of soil/space between the bricks and pavers), they find their place to bloom.

i love your violets and i would never want to pull the out reminds me of my mother.. and how after she had visited with her friends we had to do the rounds of the garden ... and take cuttings... i often think of her when i go off to the nursery.. she'd have a fit.. pleased i have found your site and i enjoy your quilts in country threads etc.. happy day margie
