There's a mouse in the kitchen. I've set one fancy-pants trap and two old fashioned ones - more than once...
Current tally:
Mouse: 3 escapes, 1 broken trap, the muted sound of high-pitched tittering
Me: nil
Maybe I will buy some peanut butter - they're supposed to like that. Although they like dried fruit too, and it's not succeeding. Fancy-pants trap being completely ignored.
