Dusk

0706 sunset (again...)

Same song, next verse (but hey, I did put a quilt in the middle just for a tad of variety). (If you're wondering what I'm raving about, I've been on a roll of dusk/sunset/twilight/end of day photos - scroll down and you'll see...).

Irrelevant aside: etymologically, tad is considered likely to be an abbreviation of tadpole. In 1877 it's recorded as meaning a small child - not a usage I recollect hearing. By 1915 the extension of meaning into a small amount was recorded. Here's a new toy if you like chasing down etymology: http://www.etymonline.com/.

Isn't that sky purty? and the reflections?

Oh no, another internet rabbit hole - I love words, their meanings and derivations. Just spent half and hour fiddling round on the basis of which I've decided that it isn't a stash it's a boodle.

Oh yes, lovely picture. The reflection of the trees in the water when it is too dark to see the actual trees is appealing.

It's purty and moody and honest!

Love it!
