ric rac? rickrack? rick rack?

However you spell it, I LOVE that evil scrapbooking means that cotton ricrac is back. For years, apart from vintage, all you could find was boring primary colours in icky rayon or another synthetic. But now...scrapbooking has really spruced the quantity and quality of ribbons and braids in the crafting market. I may not be using them for scrapbooking (well, not yet) but I'm a happy ricrac-enthusiast camper. Lookee here - wide, narrow, cheerful colours, subtle colours - aaaaah. They even had velvet ricrac (not in the photo) and that was really quite divine...apple green velvet ricrac, raspberry velvet ricrac....

Rooru do you design quilts for Australian Patchwork and Quilting? I like to pick that up and something made me think that might be the case.
