It's autumn (or fall, if that's your lingo) and the textures and colours and curves and curlicues of the leaves are a pleasure to the eye. It's always curious to see how much punishment the eucalyptus leaves can seem to take - they're not deciduous, so I guess they're on the tree for longer, with the toughness required to resist the seasons. But there's something beautiful, as well, about the ones that have clearly led a hard, resilient life, among those leaves that have only to last a season before falling.
