Of all the shots in yesterday's mosaic, this is my current favourite. I like the assortment of buds, slowly unfurling, and the imperfection of the flowers, as though they'd been waiting just a bit too long for a buyer, and were starting to lose their looks just a tad. I hope they had a scent. Roses aren't just about their looks, it's their presence.
